On 18 November the prestigious Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) awarded Bistrot chez Remy “best new themed restaurant in the world”. This prize recognises the quality of the restaurant located on Place de Rémy, that is already the favourite table-service restaurant of Disneyland Paris guests.
With its French cuisine, its Haussmann-style larger than life exteriors and its over-dimensioned decor inspired from the Disney•Pixar movie Ratatouille, Bistrot chez Rémy – inaugurated last July at the same time as Ratatouille : L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy in Walt Disney Studios Park– has all it takes to woo the guests. Indeed 84% of the clients are satisfied, and in just a few months it has become the favourite table-service restaurant of the guests of the two Disneyland Paris Parks. It has surpassed Walt’s, an American Restaurant and the Blue Lagoon Restaurant.
The professionals of the association were unanimous in rewarding this new restaurant and the care given to details by the Imagineers: ”It is a truly charming and thematically thorough dining experience, where oversized objects are reused in every possible way to create tables, chairs, architectural elements, and props. Once guests enter the main dining room the shrinking illusion is clever, consistent, and full of wry jokes. Everything is very well-conceived and delivered to create an illusion that is both convincing and coyly self-aware. This venue exhibits thoroughness, conceptual clarity, dedication to narrative detail, and exceptional finish.”
This new recognition* can be added to the list of certificates of excellence received this year. The most recent one was the 3 stars given by the Guide Vert Michelin, since the world-respected guide judges Disneyland Paris as a destination “worthy of the trip on its own merit”. In 2012, the IAAPA rewarded Disney Dreams! , played daily in Disneyland Park, as the best show of the year.
Success never comes alone, the new Disneyland Paris attraction Ratatouille, L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy was named “gastronomic event of the year,” this Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the Palais du Luxembourg. This is one of the 7 “Gastronomades”** price awarded to reward cuisine talent.
