Once again, the Morrisons Disney Card Collection has come to an end. In a statement on their website Morisons claims

Thank you for helping us to celebrate the magical 20th anniversary of Disneyland Paris! Due to unprecedented demand (sic) customer demand, we brought forward the end of our Disney promotion to Sunday 22nd April 2012.

Yes, I know what you are thinking. If the promotion was that popular surely you extend it rather than cut it short?! According to several we have spoken to, Morrisons were running short of some of the plush characters but a very weird decision don’t you think? That is until you see what their solution is to the unprecedented demand. You can now complete your collection by visiting their specially created website. Each of the standard cards will cost you 10p with the shiny, special edition cards at 20p each. You can also pick up the folder that holds (nearly) all of the cards for £2.50

If you haven’t even started collecting you could now complete the set for £14.60 plus tax and postage. It kind of makes you wonder if there is any point in spending a small fortune in a supermarket if you know they will sell them off at the end.
