Today saw the soft opening of the new World of Disney store in Disneyland Paris’ Disney Village. Although we will be bringing you a more in depth report next week, InsideDLParis, have been on the scene today and brought this great image from inside the store.

From the photo above, we can see a very open design that is reminiscent to the World of Disney store in Walt Disney World. The store also seems to have many moveable fixtures giving us a clue as to how the store may change over time. We will get a clearer picture when we bring you a full report next week.

On a related note, Phil Lewis contacted us to let us know that

…..the World of Disney at DLP opened today. The other shop in the village closed except from the section next to Annette’s which is a Christmas shop.

InsideDLParis also took this image

It seems the new store is going to bring a change to Disney Village. As to what we get is an unknown. Could it be that Disney Village will become more like Disneyland, with predominantly branded shops and a few Disney thrown in. Rumours are that Hurricanes will become a Cast Member restaurant for the time being due to the extra staff employed in the World of Disney Store.

What do you think? Is this going to see a radical change to Disney Village or will it be more of the same?
