The Classic home made hearty comfort food. Meat Loaf is what it sounds like a loaf of meat! We decided to start our Disney cooking experience with this dish from the 50’s Prime time Cafe. This recipe will make enough for 2 loaves of meat, so if you prefer you could half the recipe.

This is what it should look like!!

INGREDIENTS:

1kg Minced beef
500g Minced pork
4 eggs
110g seasoned bread crumbs
1 small onion Diced
1/2 a green pepper chopped
1/2 a red pepper chopped
2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
Salt pepper to taste

METHOD:

Combine meats and seasonings. Add vegetables and eggs. Place meat mixture in oiled loaf tin. Bake at 180ºC oven for 1 hour.
(place a backing tray beneath the cooking meat loaf as meat juices may bubble over)

Brush meatloaf with meatloaf glaze. Bake another 10 minutes. Let meatloaf set 10 minutes, cut loaf and serve.

MEATLOAF GLAZE
INGREDIENTS:

90g Tomato ketchup
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tsp Dijon mustard
½ Tsp worcestershire sauce

METHOD:

Combine all ingredients until mixture is smooth.
