We got a peak at some figures from the upcoming Muppets Star Wars toy series a few weeks ago. At Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we saw the full set on display.

The 8 figures from this first series will be released this fall in 2 figure combo packs and will retail for $18.95. Price point makes sense, as the Disney Character Star Wars figures that are similar to these retail for $8.95 per single figure.

Here are the Muppets Star Wars figures:

Kermit as Luke Skywalker

Kermit looks great as a Jedi Knight. The body and shape and paint job both are well done. I like the two hands on the lightsaber pose. It’s more original than the one handed pose from the Disney Characters Star Wars series. Packaged with…

Miss Piggy as Princess Leia

Again, they perfectly captured the Muppets facial details here. I like the use of accessories like lightsabers and guns. Nice job with Leia’s hair buns.

Sam the Eagle as Obi-Wan Kenobi

Sam is the perfect choice for Obi Wan. He has that old and wise feel to him. Great detail with the feathers, tail and robes. And check out the joints. These are very posable. Another standout difference from the Disney Character series. Packaged with…

Gonzo as Darth Vader
Camilla as a Stormtrooper

Gonzo kicks butt as Vader. Again, like the two handed saber holding. And the cape is a nice addition. He comes with a helmet. Looks like it will be the 2 piece pull apart that snaps around the head of the figure instead of over-top. Gonzo comes with Camilla the Chicken and Stormtrooper helmet.

Link Hogthrob as Han Solo

This was another great character match up. They got the clothing down on this one. Packaged with…

Fozzy as Chewy

Another no-brainer. The kicker is the rubber chicken in Fozzie’s side pouch.

Bunsen Honeydew as R2-D2

We have not seen an R2 yet in the Disney Characters Star Wars series, so this a welcome addition. Packaged with…

Beaker as C-3PO

The body on this one is outstanding. I love the molded head that can be put on or off… instead of just painted Beaker’s face gold.

  1. These are fantastic, I love the R2-D2 and C-3PO.

No Yoda – I’d love to see Rizzo in this role, he’d be great. He’s the right size at least.

    Also Animal as Salacious Crumb.
