Although due to open on 16th May, a walk out of character performers, resulting in the cancellation of many park events, also meant that the official opening of the official meet and greet of Mickey Mouse was delayed until 17th May. Located in the former Fantasy Festival Theatre, the new Fantasyland location allows guests to go backstage and meet Mickey Mouse as he prepares for his magic show. Guests walk through the redesigned theatre which sports a screen showing old Mickey cartoons and then into a backstage area where he meets the man himself.
