On September 30th, Walt Disney World is hosting an event to celebrate 40 years of the Haunted Mansion. Adam told you all about the Haunted Mansion: Room For One More event a couple days ago. This $285 per ticket event sure seems like a hauntingly ghoulish time. But what Disney event would be complete without merchandise! Here are the goodies you can purchase if you go to this spook fest.
First, there are a few pins.
This pin represents the logo for the event. It has some classic features including the silhouette of the mansion, the three hitchhiking ghosts and the grave keeper with frightened dog.
Edition Size: 500
Retail: $12.95
These cameos have great detail. Check out the bat that’s found on the rope posts. Many Haunted Mansion favorites are found in this Mystery Pin set complete with chaser. There is also a special effect when pin is hit with a black light.
Edition Size: 2500
Retail: $24.95 for a 2 pin package
This is a Gargoyle Lanyard Medal. It has a black light on the back of the medal and special stained glass and stone work.
Edition Size: 500
Retail: $19.95
That’s it for the pins, but there are plenty more pieces to add to your collection.
The Haunted Mansion Chandelier Necklace has a representation of the creepy wallpaper.
Retail: $125.00
This creepy realistic take on the Haunted Mansion is by Noah. I’ve come to learn a lot about this talented artist lately because of Vinylmation. He takes great care to do justice to Disney in his work.
Original 24″ x 36″: $10,000
LE of 99 produced 18″ x 24″ Canvas Giclee: $295.00
Deluxe 14″ x 18″ Paper Print: $35.00
This one really stands out to me. Mickey, Goofy and Donald as the hitchhiking ghosts is really cool. This is done by Costa Alavezos and the Disney Ink and Paint Team. Too bad this one only comes in the LE.
LE of 99 produced 16.5″ x 13.5″: $350.00
Not sure how many people have UV and black lights hanging around, but this painting would be cool for those who do. Inside a beautiful frame is a painting done by Dave Avanzino that has spirits materialize before your eyes when UV or black light is applied.
LE 25 produced 16″ x 20″: $850.00
Jim Shore gives us many great pieces representing Disney Characters, this Haunted Mansion organ is extremely detailed. I really like the way the cape seems to flow outward. The real treats are the LED lights in the candelabras and ghost faces as well as the glow in the dark paint.
Retail: $79.95
The Mansion Caretaker is one of my favorite scences in all of the attraction. Maybe it’s because I’m about to round the corner in the grave yard and all the great things that await, but I always put myself in his shoes and try to imagine peeking out at night at all the happy haunts. This Ruben Procopio sculpted piece is 10″ x 11.5″.
Edition Size: 250
Retail: $595.00
A ton of great names are lending their skills to this event. This sculpture is created by Robert Olszewski. He is known for those little light up shadow boxes that contain, in great detail, classic Disney movie scenes. This 1:220th (Z Scale) replica of the Haunted Mansion is just breathtaking. It has LED lights and measures 7.5″ H x 11.5″ L x 9.5″ W. I want one!
Retail: $399.95
That’s the merchandise. So who is going? What will you pick up to add to your collection? Or will you just go to experience the 40th and hold back on purchases? And I’m not ashamed to toss this out there… I won’t be going, but I’d like to purchase a couple pins and print (wink, wink).
