Today, Disney have announced a merchandise event to help celebrate the resort’s 40th anniversary. Room for one more will be held in the Contemporary Resort on Friday 30th September from 9.00am – 9.00pm. According to the Art of Disney website:

Be the first to pre-purchase limited edition event logo product, Haunted Mansion themed collectibles and Walt Disney World 40th Anniversary collectibles.
Deadly silent auction including a performance art lot by Noah.
Artist Viewing to meet and greet with other worldly renowned artists such as Robert Olszewski, Jim Shore, Greg McCullough & more.
A Cryptic Conversation with our ghoulish council of Walt Disney Imagineers.
Ghostly feast with haunting sounds and full-bodied entertainment.
Deadly Departure Gift.
What you really want to know is how will I be able to get tickets for this event and what do they cost? Unlike many Disney hard tickets events it is first come first served, but this time round Disney are operating a very different policy.
“To provide a fair and equitable distribution of Room for 1 More event tickets, guests wishing to purchase event admission need to submit a request by answering the questions below. Guests will be able to choose either one ticket or two tickets during the request process. Requests will be accepted until 11:59 PM ET on July 20, 2011. Submissions will be randomly selected until all tickets are distributed. The random selection will then continue for placement on the waiting list should guests decline to purchase awarded tickets. Guest names may only be submitted once; duplicate entries will be removed.”

The cost? $285 per person. This will give you everything on the list above but still does not guarantee merchandise at the event. That, of course will cost you extra! Talking of merchandise take a look here to see just what is one offer. WARNING: You wallet will take a battering!
