We could report all of the following as little posts but it would mean having to trawl through 4 posts to read one small section of writing and look at 4 different pictures. Instead, we have combined everything in to one. Below are 4 images released by Disney to show some of the great new things they have lined up for guests visiting the parks over the next year. Enjoy!
Playhouse Disney has been closed for some time and will stay that way until March 2011 when the latest re-incarnation of the show will appear with a new title “Disney Junior – Live on Stage” With the debut of the new show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, young guests will have a chance to see the stars of the brand new Disney Channel show “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” – plus favorites from “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,” “Handy Manny” and “Little Einsteins.”
The newest dark ride attraction “The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure”, is coming to Disney California Adventure park in 2011. This is the next big milestone in the ongoing expansion of Disney California Adventure and will give new meaning to the phrase “immersive Disney attraction,” taking guests “under the sea” to experience magnificent scenes and magical songs from the popular motion picture. The attraction is slated to open in the Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland in 2012 as part of the new Fantasyland Expansion.
‘THE ADVENTURES CONTINUE’ FOR THE JEDI IN ALL OF US — Bridging that “long time ago” between the two Star Wars trilogies, spectacular new Star Tours adventures in 3-D will debut in 2011 in both the Disneyland park and Disney Hollywood Studios, taking voyagers – for the first time – to Coruscant and other destinations in the Stars Wars galaxy. The image gives us a better look at the new Starspeeder 100 and a more detailed look at one of the new planets guests might find themselves on during their adventure.
During “Mickey’s Soundsational Parade”, Disney characters will stomp down Main Street, U.S.A. in a new parade at Disneyland Park. “Mickey’s Soundsational Parade” brings to life some of the most beloved melodies from Disney films with an explosion of thrilling rhythms and bold percussion. Live musicians will amplify the fun and colorful dancers will entertain guests to the tune of a syncopated drum line, twinkling cymbals, steel drums and more. Mickey Mouse and some favorite Disney characters will encourage members of the crowd to join the giant jam session. It look like Disney are once again mixing both old and new. The floats will feature films as new and The Princess and the Frog and Tangled and as far back as The Three Caballeros. It certainly looks like a really great fun parade.
What do you think to all of the great new things coming to Disney fans in 2012? Are you excited?
