At the age of 40, I pretty much considered myself way too old for dolls. I had a huge Barbie collection back in the day but that’s over 30 years ago! I’m not one of those who could collect porcelain dolls as they’re just creepy to me and I don’t have any daughters to buy dolls for so yes, safe to say my days of owning dolls is well and truly over.
Except….I underestimated Disney yet again – I don’t know why I always do that because the House of Mouse have proved again and again that they can create beautiful collectibles of just about any type and there will always be a demand for them – and I’m not just talking about Frozen! Just recently I’ve visited Nottingham’s Disney store and the one at Meadowhall in Sheffield and I have fallen head over heels in love with some new dolls. More than that, I’m actually considering buying these. Actually, more that that – I want these badly!
Take a look at the photos below and you’ll see exactly what I mean. The dolls that are available are: Lady Tremaine (my favourite!), Cinderella, The Fairy Godmother, and Wedding Cinderella and the prince.
Warning – lots of lovely, detailed images to follow! These dolls really are something else. Be prepared to want them.
