We have just received official word from Disney that some of the offerings for the Magical Moments Festival will be ending as soon as January 9th. This is to make way for changes coming as part of the 20th anniversary festival. We revealed a little while back that new happening would be appearing alongside some of the older ones and a new parade would debut. All of the changes below are done to help ease the transition from one celebration to the next.

As of the 9th January 2012
We will see the disappearance of Green Army Men Play and Greet in Toy Story Playland, the removal of the Disney Dance Express and the end of the Mickey’s Magical Celebration Show. There is no news of either the Green Army Men or Dance Express will return in a different form. Although not confirmed, we believe the early closure of the Plaza stage show is for the removal of the current stage a major change to that area for the new Dreams night time show. There will also be a change to the Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade as the front VIP float will be removed until the arrival of Disney Magic on Parade on 1st April. Two periods of refurbishment will begin on Moteurs….Action from this date. Expect the attraction to be closed from 9th-20th January and again between 12th-23rd March 2012.

16th January 2012
Removal of the Princess float from the Disney’s Once Upon a Dream parade. This will be absent until the start of the Disney Magic on Parade from 1st April
