The high-speed train operator Eurostar is adding extra summer services between London’s St Pancras International station and Disneyland Paris.
Eurostar this week announced there would be 16 additional departures for its route from London to Paris and another seven trains between the London and Disneyland Paris.
Officials said the expansion comes due to heightened demand, as July alone is expected to see nearly 1,000,000 passengers utilise Eurostar’s services.
Eurostar’s commercial director, Nick Mercer, said, “In addition to a significant increase in the number of passengers taking our direct services, we’re seeing more and more passengers connect beyond Paris, Lille and Brussels.”
Mr Mercer added, “With convenient connections, fast journey times and clear environmental advantages people across the UK are starting to see how easy it is to travel across Europe by high speed rail. From destinations like Provence to Bruges, Amsterdam and Cologne, the increase in people booking connecting journeys with Eurostar is helping to fuel a rail renaissance.”
The additional Paris services will be focused on the weekends and will begin on July 8 and will run through the end of month. The additional Disneyland trains will begin running on July 19 and will operate until August 27. Fares start at £69 return.
