On the 27th September Disney Hollywood Studios will say farewell to one of its opening day attractions. Disney have officially announced that the Backlot Tour will close to make way for “future enhancements”. They are currently keeping tight lipped over what exactly will be coming but rumored have suggested that Pixar Place may become Pixar Land with Disney pulling together attraction from Paris and California among others. Other rumors suggest that this could become Star Wars Land. Although no announcement has been made on its replacement, we do know that Oaken’s Wandering Outpost will take up the American Institute area located next to the Backlot exit. Depending on how permanent Disney make this location it may give us a good clue as to what their next move might be.
