“WHERE’S MY WATER?” MAKES A BIG SPLASH IN SWAMPY’S 1ST YEAR!

Today, September 22, 2012, marks the one-year anniversary of the hit, fun physics-based puzzle app, “Where’s My Water?” and also marks the 1st Birthday of Disney’s first original game character, Swampy the alligator.

To celebrate, players can join in the celebration with an exclusive free birthday-themed level in “Where’s My Water?” titled, “Make a Wish,” in addition to 10 more free Lost Levels and 40 new Mystery Duck levels!  Hint: Tap the birthday present on the main menu to unwrap the secret birthday level!

Since launching in September 2011, “Where’s My Water?” has made quite a splash!  As the breakout mobile game of the past year, Swampy has cleaned up, on his way to 2 billion showers and reached the No. 1 spot on the App Store in 90 different countries.  “Where’s My Water?” also made App Store history as the 25 billionth app downloaded.  Along the way, the “Where’s My…” franchise has been downloaded more than 100 million times.

The follow on game, “Where’s My Perry?” has also experienced great success since launching in June. The mobile game combines the comedic tone, themes, and characters from Disney’s #1 animated series Phineas and Ferb, with the popular gameplay features of “Where’s My Water?”.  “Where’s My Perry?” centers on a new storyline around Phineas and Ferb’s beloved Perry, the Platypus/ crime-fighting Agent P, and includes a host of new features and gameplay mechanics.

The franchise continues to grow with the release of the first line of “Where’s My Water?” merchandise. Fans of the game can now take home their very own Swampy plush, just one of ten new products available to buy from the Disney Store online.

Swampy will soon be making his debut in a 12 episode animated web series called “Where’s My Water? the Adventures of Swampy”, ensuring that fans can continue to enjoy the ever evolving story and humorous tales of Swampy and his friends. In June 2012, Apple recognized the game with the Apple Design Award, awarded for innovation and design excellence in developer products.
