Could this be a sign of things to come? Already, rumours are spreading that the new meet and greet at the Town Square Theater will feature a talking, interactive Mickey Mouse. With the chance that the new meet and greet may not have a standby and only feature Fastpass return (this is a very faint rumour) it could mean that Mickey will have more time to spend with guests and that means more personal interaction. A year ago, Disneyland began playtesting the new talking Mickey Mouse with guests. It has been seen out in Disneyland’s Toontown again in the past week and now that a talking Mickey is featured in the Magic Kingdom’s Good Morning Show it is a very distinct possibility that Mickey will be talking more often. UPDATE We have had a message sent to us that says the new Mickey Mouse Meet and Greet will begin on the 1st April 2011. The source is reliable but we know Disney is always subject to change their minds. Please do not head down to the parks specifically for this one event with official confirmation from Disney.
