We have an update for those of you attending tomorrows Grand opening of the new store at 350 Oxford Street. Disney are not expecting a huge crowd for the opening tomorrow and they don’t expect queues to build for it until around 30 minutes before, although do leave plenty of time for your travel as we all know what London can be like. There will be no big name celebrity this time for one reason only, the Oxford Street roadworks. OxfordStreet is currently having a lot of work done and unfortunately, the store has fencing directly in front of it preventing the store from holding an event that would be as big as they would have liked. Due to the roadworks taking place directly outside the store, they have had to scale back the opening but plans are in place to make up for it in a big way at a later date. There will still be an grand opening celebration tomorrow morning.
The store is expected to open around 9.30am and Mickey and Minnie will be in attendance dressed in there full Pirate costume (as they were on Thursday) but, again due to space, will not be holding a meet and greet. Although there is no meet and greet, there will still be plenty going on in store during the day.
The store does still have some exclusives available at the event. They still have a few of the limited edition London opening pins (This is apparently a pin that was released a few weeks ago. Thanks to Lisa Cox for the info). They were limited to 500 but should still be available tomorrow. Also, the store has two, 9″ London exclusive Vinylmation priced at £30. They look pretty good and below are two images posted by Destination Vinylmation.
