Although we have seen some of the expected 20th anniversary edition cancelled, it seems Disneyland Paris management have some plans for other things to take their place. The latest rumour (and yes, this is a rumour) is that Disney Photopass service is making its way to the resort.

If rumours are true, this would be the first park outside the US to get the system. But, this raises one much bigger question. Doesn’t the park need to sort out it’s character meet and greet situation before it can start to offer photopasses at character meet and greet locations.

For those location that are already set up for photographers e.e Town Square and Toon Studios, this won’t be a difficult system to implement but for other more impromptu locations, no one is going to want a photo of their child with Goofy while someone elses parent has their elbow in their face trying to push their child in.It also begs the question, is this another addition for the 20th anniversary designed to bring on more money. We already reported today on the possible appearance of Duffy the Disney Bear ($$$$$$$) now with the inclusion of Photopass ($$$$$) it would bring in much needed cash for the resort. I must admit, as much as it is a money making scheme, it would be much easier to look at your photos when you arrive home rather than the panic of realising you still have that piece of paper in your pocket on the way back to the parking lot and you have a 10 minute trek back to the park to see your little cherubs face with Mickey.
