Wonder no more as Disney have pre-released some of the new concept art linked to the latest Fantasyland expansion. It seems that they have kept some of the original elements but look out for some great new additions.

The newest concept art for the expansion still shows an opening date of 2012. Good news is that the changes don’t seem to have out the project behind.

Although not held within the walls of the expansion it seems the Imagineers have called time on another opening day attraction, Snow White’s Scary Adventure will be no more. In its place will become a new one size fits all Princess meet and greet. But, don’t worry. Snow White isn’t gone for good.

The new Fantasyland expansion will not have one great coaster but two! As part of the expansion will come an all new Snow White Mine Train Coaster. The concept that has been sat on the Imagineers shelves all these years is finally coming true. According to the Disney Parks Blog:

“The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will take you on a rollicking, musical ride into the mine “where a million diamonds shine.” The coaster will feature a first-of-its kind ride system with a train of ride vehicles that swing back and forth as they whisk along the track. The journey will be accompanied by music from the classic Disney film and animated figures of Snow White and the Dwarfs.”

Can you tell I am excited?

Duelling Dumbos aren’t going anywhere either. The new Storybook Circus will house two of the classic Dumbo attractions as well as a wide range of interactive games for the whole family to play.

Hurrah! Goofy’s Barnstormer will stay with a new theme, the Great Goofini! It seems that the old Toontown area will keep its circus tent theme and this could also mean the whole of the expansion will open in 2012 instead of the two phase original plans.

Disney have now said ” The New Fantasyland will be constructed in phases with most new experiences open by 2013. We look forward to sharing more with you as our work progresses.”

We will be right behind them with all the news so check back to this post later for all of the latest news about the expansion update.
