There has been a pattern recently, Disney Store, France get a new Vinylmation series, we get a new Vinylmation series. So far it has happened with The Lion King, Alice Wonderland and Villains 2. So to our surprise Martin Blyth over on Facebook discovered that the new Vinylmation series, Furry Friends is due out in France on the 9th January

It may be on this ocassion that the French are getting to them before us as a quick call to the Disney Store Customer Services team came up with no results. I was told that there is no date set as yet for them to begin. This to me seems very strange and let me explain why.

All stock for every Disney Store in Europe is sent to the Disney Store’s European Distribution Centre in Leicestershire. Stock is then palleted up for each store and then shipped out from that one location. This means that the original destination for all stocks of Vinylmation is currently under one roof. Somehow, the stock for the French store has managed to be shipped out of this location ready for the French market but yet, the Vinylmations ready for UK release (which haven’t been shipped anywhere) are still on hold for sale in the UK.

My only guess is that Disney are waiting for their sale stock to clear before releasing the new Vinlys as  the French store does not have a sale on at present. But, having said all that, we know anything can change with Disney and likely will. Will they appear online on Monday? possibly but we certainly know they will be hear before we are saying hello to February.
